FMS- & Y-Balance Test

Making stability, mobility and control measurable

Y-Balance-Test

The Y-Balance Test is a standardized test to assess your physical symmetry, trunk stability and functional mobility – especially in the lower extremities.

He provides us with important clues about possible Movement restrictions or muscular imbalances, which can increase the risk of injury – for example in sports or everyday life.

When will we administer the test?

  • to Progress monitoring in rehabilitation (e.g. after surgery or injury)
  • for complaints without a clear cause (instability, insecurity, pain)
  • as preventive check for identifying vulnerabilities
  • for athletes for performance diagnostics or return-to-sport decisions

  • Based on the results, we develop targeted exercises and recommendations to help you Balance, stability and coordination to improve sustainably.

The test is quick, straightforward – but very informative.

FMS-Test

The Ffunctional Mrenovation Screen (FMS) is a proven analysis tool that assesses movement quality in various functional everyday situations – e.g. lifting, rotating, stretching, kneeling or balancing.

The goal is to identify movement restrictions, asymmetries and compensation patterns early – even before pain or injuries occur.

What are we testing?

The FMS consists of seven standardized movement patterns that we specifically observe and evaluate. These show us where your body is out of balance – be it due to muscular imbalances, restricted joint mobility, or lack of core stability.

Your benefit:

  • Identifying and correcting functional deficits
  • Increased movement economy and safety
  • Individual training or therapy planning based on objective results
  • Ideal for injury prevention, especially in a sports context

  • The FMS is not a performance test, but a qualitative movement screen that is ideally suited for therapy planning and training control – for every age group and every activity level.
