Diabetes in Germany: A growing challenge

Diabetes mellitus is one of the most widespread chronic diseases in Germany. According to current statistics, approximately 7.2% of adults aged 18 to 79 are affected, which corresponds to around 4.6 million people. The high number of undiagnosed cases is also worrying: estimates suggest that around 2 million people are living with diabetes without knowing it.

One indicator of your blood sugar control is the HbA1c value, which reflects your average blood sugar level over the past two to three months. A high HbA1c value significantly increases your risk of diabetic complications. Studies show that lowering your HbA1c value by just one percentage point can reduce the risk of microvascular complications by up to 37%.

Excess weight, especially the accumulation of visceral fat – that is, fatty tissue in the abdominal cavity – is a significant risk factor for the development of type 2 diabetes. Visceral fat is metabolically active and promotes inflammatory processes in the body, which impair insulin sensitivity. Therefore, reducing this fat deposit is a key goal in diabetes prevention and treatment.

Our 3-month diabetes program aims to achieve visible improvements through targeted measures such as dietary improvements, regular exercise, and stress management. Even after this short period, you can expect to see a significant reduction in your HbA1c level, a decrease in visceral fat, and in many cases, a reduction in the medication required. Some studies show that a reduction of up to 2 percentage points within three months is realistic for those with high initial HbA1c levels.

Another highlight of our program is the comprehensive knowledge transfer. Through a variety of videos, we provide you with theoretical knowledge about your body, its functions, and the importance of training management. This gives you a deeper understanding of how you can specifically influence your health. This knowledge is not only helpful during the program but also beyond, enabling you to establish lasting changes in your lifestyle.

Participating in our program offers you an effective way to sustainably improve your health and reduce the risk of diabetes-related complications. We will accompany you on this journey with professional support and individually tailored measures.

Consulting and analysis

Our 3-month diabetes program combines targeted advice and analyses to improve your health. During an initial consultation and health assessment, we will gather information about your medical history, lifestyle habits, and risk factors to develop personalized strategies for you.

Important health metrics such as blood pressure, heart rate, and your HbA1c level are recorded to monitor your blood sugar levels over the long term. Additionally, we analyze your body composition—including body fat, muscle mass, and visceral fat—to document your progress.

With uVIDA's metabolic analysis, we measure your fat and carbohydrate burning at rest and under stress. This allows us to individually tailor your training and specifically optimize your metabolism.

Your progress will be monitored through regular check-ups so that your plan can be individually adjusted. With personal support, we will accompany you on your journey to improved health and a better quality of life.
