Strengthen your therapy from within

Nutrition as part of your therapy

How you eat influences how your body heals. Because regeneration isn't just a matter of therapy and exercise – your diet also has a direct impact on inflammation, healing processes, and your energy levels.

We want to help you make the right adjustments – without diet stress or dogmas, but with simple, practical tips for everyday life.

Eating anti-inflammatory foods – what does that actually mean??

Many complaints encountered in physiotherapy – such as joint pain, tendon irritation, or chronic tension – are associated with low-grade inflammation in the body. A targeted anti-inflammatory diet can help in these cases.

These foods will support you:

  • Lots of vegetables & fruit (e.g. broccoli, berries, spinach, red grapes)
  • High-quality fats (e.g., linseed oil, olive oil, avocado, nuts)
  • Fish rich in Omega-3 fatty acids (e.g., salmon, mackerel, herring)
  • Anti-inflammatory spices (e.g., turmeric, ginger, cinnamon)
  • Plenty of water & unsweetened teas
  • Foods high in fiber (e.g., oats, legumes)

Less recommended:

  • highly processed products (e.g. ready meals, sausages)
  • sugary snacks & soft drinks
  • too much alcohol, refined white flour & trans fatstte

Eating to support therapy – specifically

Depending on the goal of your treatment, certain nutrients may be particularly valuable:

  • protein (e.g., from lean meat, fish, legumes, dairy products) → supports muscle building & tissue regeneration
  • Vitamin C, D & Zinc → strengthen the immune system and promote wound healing
  • Magnesium & Potassium → important for nerves, muscle function & relaxation
  • Collagen-rich foods (e.g., bone broth, gelatin, eggs) → support connective tissue, joints and fascia

You don't have to change everything at once. Even small improvements to your daily habits can effectively support your therapy. We're happy to give you specific tips – just ask us!
