Imaging ultrasound – diagnostics directly in physiotherapy

With our new SonidoSmart Pro We bring modern imaging directly into your treatment. This allows us to diagnose muscular, fascial and structural problems make visible, treat more specifically and assess your progress better – without having to go through radiology or a doctor’s office.

What we can make visible with ultrasound

  • Tendons, ligaments & muscles: Representation of irritations, thickenings, overloads
  • Connective tissue & fascia: Analysis of adhesions, scars, movement restrictions
  • Fluid accumulation & signs of inflammation: Indications of inflammatory processes
  • Consequences of injury: Bleeding, muscle fiber tears or post-traumatic changes

What ultrasound can do for you in therapy

  • clarity over the affected tissue
  • Visible successes during treatment
  • Better communication between you and your therapist
  • Motivation through biofeedback: You see how your body works

When do we use ultrasound?

  • for chronic or unclear complaints
  • after injuries (e.g. muscle tear, strain)
  • for monitoring progress in rehabilitation
  • for tendon or ligament pain
  • with fascial restrictions

Important note on demarcation

Our ultrasound examinations do not replace medical diagnostics and do not compete with imaging diagnostics in medical practice.

We use ultrasound exclusively in a physiotherapy context – to supplement our diagnostic assessment, to select targeted treatments and to monitor the progress of therapy.

If a structural finding is unclear or further diagnostics appear necessary, we will of course refer you to the treating physicians.

The goal is not a medical diagnosis, but rather a functional assessment within your therapy.
